Can you imagine the amount of faith it took for the lady with the discharge of blood to touch Jesus and believe for a healing? “If only I could touch his cloak, I will be healed.” She told herself. It’s interesting the amount of power in a touch. Jesus touched the rulers daughter and the blind man. The woman with the discharged touched Jesus’ cloak.
After spending eight weeks in Atlanta, I knew that it was not God’s will for me to be there. He was calling me home to Houston. There is still work for me to do in this city. Until that work is complete, I am not allowed to leave. My heart is here, so is my passion. I’m connected to a church filled with hope and believers and that pushes me to be the best person, the best follower of Christ, and the best example of Love I can be.
“Don’t give your circumstances power over you; take power over your circumstances.”
Chapter One of my new book, “A Vision of Victory,” is titled Remove My Shame. In life, we’ve all done things we are not proud of. If we are not careful, the enemy will try and use these things to separate us from our relationship with God. He will tell you that God doesn’t love you. He’ll use people to bring up your past, and try to use that as a reason to disqualify you from the future God has planned for you. He’ll use shame to keep your perception of your tainted, obscured from the truth. But don’t believe the lies of the enemy. Don’t allow any room for the enemy in your life.
Had your shame over to God, whatever it is. God will restore you. He will renew you and make you whole again. The great thing about God – God forgives and forgets. He will remove your shame and restore you to wholeness. Isaiah 54:4 says this: “Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.”
God is very clear in his direction. Forget the shame of your past. It does not account for what God is doing in your life right now, or for the future He is designing for you.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone reading this. This day is hard for many, but remember it’s a day that we celebrate love. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus, our Christ. He laid down his life so that we may have eternal life with our Father in Heaven.
If you notice yourself feeling a little down today, refocus your attention to Jesus. God is the source of all love. Are you glad we can call him Father and Friend?
Today, I choose to celebrate God’s love and vision for my life. My new book “A Vision of Victory” will be available March 1st. Can’t wait to share it with you all.
Be well. ❤️
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard thy heart; for out of it flows the issues of life.
God reminded me of this scripture today as I was battling through some emotions earlier within the day. Why did he say, “Above all else?” Of everything else we have to guard, why is the heart esteemed most highly? Because the heart ❤️ is where He lives; it represents all that God is… Love.
The holiday season can be very hard for a lot of people. Often enough, the holidays reminds us of what we’ve lost, or what we do not have, rather than the things we are blessed with and what we should be grateful for.
Hard work is what separates the average from the above average.
I think we feel in love by accident
It wasn’t supposed to happen the way it did
We were doomed from the start
But I kept on loving you anyway
We almost ruined one another
Broken promises and all of the lies
Lying to protect each other from the hurt
But ultimately hurting anyway
Drowned in the misery of our own selfishness
Too prideful to realize what was most important
Which was why we fell in love in the first place
Why I thought and think you are the most beautiful human being
Can we forget the past?
We’ve forgiven, but can we forget the pain and the betrayal?
Can we move forward in love?
Will you love me flaws and all?
Regardless of our past mistakes
Let’s put our pride to the side
Let’s love, let’s live, let’s be great

I was on one of my nightly twitter rants
discussing venting about the last relationship that I was in while I was in Houston. And part of my frustration is that we never had closure. I spoke with “him” today. It was hard; it’s always hard. I never got over him. This was the one time that I actually fought falling in love; he kind of stole my heart. And I don’t really think he even tried to. But it happened. But to this day, I still love him and would do anything for him.
I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since we met
We fell in love, then you broke my heart
And I’m still dealing with the residuals of that
To meet someone who I thought was beautiful
Inside and out; perfect
You challenged me
You made me want to be better
Then you took it all away
With no regard to my heart
With no regard to my well-being
And I came crumbling down
So here we are
Not even speaking
and I don’t know how to deal with that
I don’t know how I can move on
and fall in love with someone else
At the risk of losing myself again
At the risk of falling in love and getting my heart broken
All over again
But you don’t care
But you say you do
But actions speak louder than words
