Hi Fancy Friends!!!!! Happy New Year #2015. Also, Happy Anniversary to justinjamaul.com. I started this blog a year ago today. And now almost 300 post and 7,500 subscribers later, we’re still here! Thanks to each and every person that supports me and what I have going on.
Is it me, or did 2014 fly past us? That was one quick year, but A L O T happened. I published two books (“Half The Battle” and “28 Prayers to God“), relocated to Los Angeles, started ‘The Mr. Fancy Collection‘ clothing line, and became a cast member of “Tha Life Houston” web-series. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I’m so grateful to God for allowing everything to have happened. I’ve learned so much and am continuing to grow and challenge myself everyday. Speaking of challenges and changes, there are a lot of changes coming to the site within the coming weeks. First off, I’ve made the decision to stop focusing on celebrity news and entertainment. There are many other sites that you guys can get that information from. I will focus more on fashion, current events, and real life applications that we can all benefit from. As a writer, it is important for me to be as innovative as I can and set myself apart from everyone else.
It’s funny to me that I’m referring to myself as a writer now. Not long ago I was having a conversation with someone and telling them that I don’t consider myself a writer yet. I felt that way because I felt that I hadn’t done enough. Even though I’ve been published twice. But this person told me to stop limiting myself in my mind. I am what I say I am. Therefore, I am a writer.
Speaking of, I’ve already started the 3rd book, which will come out later this year. The layout of the site will be changing within the next week or so. Also, The ‘Mr. Fancy Collection’ will be relaunching in February 2015. ‘Tha Life Houston’ premiers next Tuesday on January 6th. So, 2015 is already off to a good start for me. There are also some other surprises coming.
I am not setting resolutions. I really don’t believe in them. But everyday for the past few years, I wake up with the mindset that I have to be better than I was the previous day. That’s not changing.
So, cheers to the New Year. I wish everyone nothing but success and happiness!
