After working so hard for so long, I took some much needed time away from home and went to Dallas for a few days. Oh gosh, I felt so alive this week. There’s no greater feeling than seeing old, good friends from home and connecting on levels that you can’t connect with anyone else on.
Friday night, my friends and I went to a party downtown at a sky-rise. It was extravagant and lush, as one would expect it to be. As soon as I entered, I ran into some friend whom I haven’t seen in years. It was like breathing a breath of fresh air. Somehow, we ended up talking about God and it was just an opportunity to share and listened. Fellowship is always great.
The next day, we started off with a brunch downtown. Again, I ran into people I knew and some I didn’t. Some recognized me from “The Life Houston” and I got the chance to meet some interesting characters. We arrived late so everyone was walking talking about going to a pool party. We grabbed a light bite to eat and pumped to the pool party.
Clearly, I was dressed like a THOT lol. It was all in fun. I encountered some of the most strange people in my life while at the pool party. It was all fun. No drama, just about a thousand individuals loving and living and having fun. KeKe Wyatt performed for about 30 minutes, there were some drag performances, after I left, apparently, Big Freeda took the stage. It was hot as Haydes outside yesterday, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves.
We finished the night at some club inside of a hotel ballroom. Again, more performances and about a couple thousand people crammed into a tight space. It was fun, but I’d honestly had enough for the day. I slept on the entire ride home.
Today ended with a brunch/pool party. It was the perfect way to end a great weekend getaway. Currently, I’m in the backseat writing this post and keeping an eye on the driver to make sure he gets me home safely lol.
Hope you all have a good night.
