Jennifer Lopez released a new single yesterday entitled “I Luh Ya Papi“. The song features French Montana and will be featured on the singers upcoming album due out this summer.
Take a listen below:
Umm…. Ms. Lopez, girl! You had really tried that! I have soooo many first of alls! The song is so basic and elementary. I have nothing nice to say about it at all. For Jennifer to be at the level that she is on, why would she embarrass herself by putting out a record like this. It’s like she threw up a big middle finger to her long time fans and supporters and catered directly to her younger (American Idol) audience. Not really sure whose idea that was, but it was a grave mistake. The teenie-boppers watching Idol don’t give a sh*t about Jennifer Lopez, let alone even know who she is, outside of being a judge on that show. It’s her mature audience, the Jenny from the block audience, that knows and loves her. She should be making music to cater to that audience. Those are the people that will be supporting her and buying her music. Not the younger audience.
*sighs* Now about the content of the song. *slaps forehead* I should of had a V8! I can’t with the incessant repetition of “I Luh Ya Papi, I Luh Ya Papi”. First of all, lets enunciate, JLo. This basic ass beat! The basic ass lyrics. Ugh.
I’m so done with this chick.
